SAFIHRO (South African First Indigenous and Human Rights Organization) as an independent non governmental organization has been founded by His Excellency Mr. Barend Christoffel van Wyk to promote and protect the human and indigenous rights of South Africa’s First Indigenous Peoples descendants, herein referred to the KhoeKhoe San Peoples and to create mobilization and resources for the benefit and betterment of Khoekhoe and San peoples of Southern Africa in partnership with CONFILSA (The Congress of First Indigenous Leaders of South Africa). 

This services been rendered by activities such as community facilitation, mobilization, advocacy, lobbying, networking, skills development and training, capacity building on issues relating to culture, language, land and land rights, natural and mineral resources, indigenous and traditional leadership issues, health, social welfare and self sustained empowerment income generation programs to alleviation poverty and land restitution, etc.
