SAFIHRO is a creation inspired and commissioned by a son of the African soil to create a human and indigenous rights platform to serve as a mechanism for the rights of first indigenous communities of South Africa.
SAFIHRO’S mission is to empower, develop and uplift first indigenous communities in historical indigenous territories, rural and farm areas in Southern Africa and to protect and promote first indigenous peoples human, health, social, welfare, women and children rights in a consultative and transparent manner and process.
SAFIHRO’S values is to help indigenous communities to help themselves in promoting and protecting human and indigenous rights and to set up the necessary support mechanisms and institutional frameworks in conjunction with SAFIHRO’S Fields of Service Delivery such as, institutional arrangements, capacity building, job creation, heritage and tourism promotion, promotion of traditional and indigenous affairs and the fight for the recognition of indigenous and traditional communities, poverty alleviation skills development and training and the promotion and protection of rights of people affected, infected by HIV/AIDS / STI and TB and those living with HIV/AIDS and other opportunistic infections.
